LSU football became eligible for a bowl game with its 23-22 win over Arkansas on Saturday. On its latest list of predictions released, CBS Sports projects a return to a site the Tigers played at recently.

The outlet projects LSU to play in the Texas Bowl on Saturday, December 27. Its opponent is Houston out of the Big 12 and the game is played at NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans.

LSU played in the Texas Bowl last year against Baylor. The Tigers came out on top, defeating Baylor 44-31. Garrett Nussmeier threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Trey'Dez Green. It's a site several players on the current roster have experience with.

Houston holds an 8-2 record in 2025. Its best win of the season came over No. 24 Arizona State, a 24-16 victory on the road in Tempe. Amare Thomas ranks third in the conference with 737 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, while Dean Connors is fifth with 725 rushing yards.

LSU has two games remaining on its regular-season schedule. It hosts Western Kentucky next week, then finishes up at Oklahoma.
