Georgia football's 2026 schedule with predictions for every game

The Georgia Bulldogs 2026 season opener is about two months away from the time of publishing this post. The Bulldogs return to Sanford Stadium to play against the Tennessee State Tigers on Sept. 5 at home. Georgia is projected to be heavily favored against Tennessee State and Western Kentucky in the Dawgs' first two games of the season.

After a pair of non-Power Four opponents, Georgia begins SEC play on the road against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Sept. 19. Georgia is still expected to be significant favorites against Arkansas, but an SEC road game is never easy.

The Bulldogs open their SEC home schedule on Sept. 26 against the Oklahoma Sooners. Georgia and the rest of the SEC play nine-game conference schedules for the first season with the Bulldogs looking to return to the SEC championship after winning back-to-back SEC championships.

Georgia is hoping to return to the College Football Playoff and make a deeper run than just the quarterfinals. Before the Bulldogs can return to the playoff, Georgia and quarterback Gunner Stockton will have to navigate a regular season schedule that features 10 Power Four opponents, but only four true road games.

We predict that Georgia will go 10-2 (7-2 SEC) to hit the over on the Bulldogs' regular season win total (9 1/2 wins). A 7-2 conference record should be enough to make the SEC championship, but tiebreakers will be a big thing to watch down the stretch. We think Georgia will make the playoff and return to the SEC championship.
