The Class of 2028 will be the first recruiting class to have a fully inked stamp of Matt Campbell on it. After jumping in late in the Class of 2026 and getting a slightly delayed start on the Class of 2027, Penn State’s Class of 2028 will truly be the first full recruiting cycle to be conducted under Campbell and his staff. And the class could address some of the concerns about in-state recruiting if the early pickups are any indication.

Penn State’s Class of 2028 has already locked in commitments from a pair of four-star players in Pennsylvania, so the staff is off and running in their new recruiting territory. Tijem will tell just how much that continues as the Class of 2028 plays out moving forward. Regardless, it is an encouraging start for the staff in Happy Valley.
