After Boston College landed its second commit in the 2028 class in Mikey Landers, the coaching staff remained busy and added more pieces.

On Thursday, three-star tight end Chase Phifer announced his commitment to Boston College. He becomes the 27th commit in the 2027 class.

““100% committed,” Phifer wrote on X. “Extremely blessed and excited to announce my commitment to Boston College!! Thank you God for allowing me to play this game!”

The 6-foot-5 tight end chose the Eagles over the likes of Wake Forest, UCF, Memphis, Coastal Carolina, UComm, Toledo, Tulane, and more.

Phifer received his offer from head coach Bill O’Brien and the Eagles two weeks ago and quickly took a visit to campus. After meeting with the staff and touring the facilities, Phifer decided to commit.

The Eagles have been busy in recent weeks. Prior to Landers announcing his commitment, Boston College was hard at work in the 2027 class. This includes landing three-star defensive and offensive lineman Krystian Walcott.

The 6-foot-4 product of Buford High School in Georgia originally committed to Miami (Ohio). He held many offers from programs like Auburn, Florida State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Texas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Oregon. He flipped to Boston College, giving the Eagles a highly touted prospect in the trenches.
