Four-star wideout Khalil Taylor figured to be headed to Penn State to play college football in 2027, but decided to run a different route this summer.

USA TODAY Sports and others report that Taylor will instead take his talents to Nebraska. His final official visit came on June 19, which appeared to clinch his decision.

Taylor was an early commit for the Nittany Lions, as he gave them a promise in the spring of 2025 before backing out of it last fall. The de-committal came only a few days before Penn State fired head coach James Franklin.

The Nittany Lions remained in the hunt to win Taylor back, but the pass catcher selected Nebraska over them, Alabama and Colorado as finalists.

Nearly half of Taylor's receptions as a junior at Pine-Richland went for scores. He logged 33 catches for 571 yards and 16 touchdowns in 12 contests.
