Yahoo Sports unveils season-long college fantasy football

Fantasy football fans are well aware of the season-long excitement that the draft, trades and timely pickups can bring during the NFL slate every fall. Now, Yahoo Sports has released a college football version that could change the game for fans who are more into Saturday football than Sunday pigskin.

The offering includes teams and players from the Big Ten, ACC, SEC and Big 12, as well as Notre Dame, with drafts starting on August 3. Scoring is set to begin when Week 1 kicks off on Sept. 3.

In addition to drafting quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends, Yahoo Sports' college football also allows players to start a school's offense to aggregate points on a team level.

The college football product will also have larger rosters (18 players) than Yahoo NFL fantasy (15 players), which Yahoo believes will allow fantasy managers to own more players who have different roles across college football thanks to the transfer portal.
