Yahoo Sports nearly broke the internet when they announced fantasy college football would be introduced for the 2026 season.

Fantasy football has been around for a long, long time, but it's almost always centered solely around the National Football League.

Now, it's college football's time to shine. College football fandom is second to none, and each university has a fanbase that is as loyal as it gets. Now, fans can draft their favorite players, as every Power Four team will be included in Yahoo Sports' newest creation.

Yes, the Wisconsin Badgers are included, but so is their week one opponent, Notre Dame, even though the Fighting Irish aren't technically part of a Power 4 conference.

Everything to know about Yahoo Sports' College Fantasy Football

  • Team Offense: Not only can fans select their favorite players, but they can select an entire team as well. Should Wisconsin fans choose to do so, they can go all in on the Badgers' offense and earn points for the team's touchdowns, total yards, and field goals made. Additional points are awarded if the team wins, but points can be lost from turnovers and losing the game.
  • Roster Sizes Increase: Instead of the usual 15-player roster, Yahoo Sports is rolling out an 18-player roster for college fantasy football.
  • Start Date: August 3rd. One month before the season kicks off on September 3, fans can start drafting after signing up at yahoofantasy.com/college.
