The Georgia Bulldogs have the No. 15-ranked recruiting class in the 2027 recruiting cycle, thanks to them landing four-star OL Miller Westerfield.

The Georgia Bulldogs added four-star offensive tackle Miller Westerfield to their 2027 recruiting class, giving Kirby Smart and his staff another offensive lineman after struggling to land several in-state targets earlier in the cycle.

Westerfield, a 6’6, 295-pound prospect from Roswell, Georgia, chose the Bulldogs over Tennessee and LSU, saying simply, “All heart.”

Westerfield holds an 89.03 composite rating on Rivals and ranks as the No. 27 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 29 player in the state of Georgia. He also held interest from USC and Georgia Tech but ultimately committed to Georgia after taking three visits to Athens, compared to one visit each to LSU and Tennessee.

What Westerfield means for the Bulldogs’ offensive line haul

The Bulldogs have been chasing offensive linemen throughout this recruiting cycle, and they’ve missed on quite a few in-state prospects along the way. Westerfield is one they did not let slip away. His commitment gives Georgia five offensive tackles in the class, along with one interior offensive lineman.

That kind of volume at tackle is notable. With all five of those commits standing around 6’5 or taller, there is flexibility for at least one of them to slide inside to guard or center once they arrive on campus. That versatility matters for a program trying to build depth along the entire offensive front.

Where Georgia’s class stands now

With Westerfield on board, Georgia holds the No. 15 class in the country and the No. 8 class in the SEC, carrying a 90.21 class score. The Bulldogs have 18 total commits, including two five-stars and seven four-stars.

There is still work to do. At 18 commits, Georgia has room to add several more prospects before the cycle closes. Smart isn’t putting together an otherworldly class by his standards, but the offensive line investment shows a clear priority, and the staff has several targets still on the board who could push this group higher.
