Four-star defensive back Censere Gaylord, who is a member of the class of 2027, has announced his commitment to the Washington Huskies. Gaylord committed to Washington over the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Gaylord plays defensive back for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and joins a Washington program with a strong history of developing defensive backs. The four-star was the top uncommitted recruit in Florida, per 247Sports. Gaylord is the No. 113 recruit in the nation and the No. 13 cornerback in the 2027 recruiting cycle. The 6-foot, 165-pound defensive back is the No. 12 recruit in Florida.

Following his commitment, Gaylord is the Huskies‘ top-ranked recruit in the 2027 class. The four-star is Washington’s No. 24 commitment. The Huskies and head coach Jedd Fisch have the nation’s No. 25 recruiting class.

Defensive back remains Georgia football’s top recruiting need. The Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart currently have no commitments from defensive backs in the class of 2027. It is not all bad news for Georgia on the recruiting trail. The Bulldogs recently added a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Miller Westfield.

“For the next three to four years, I will be committing to the University of Washington,” Gaylord said. The IMG defensive back also thanked God and his family.
