The days of stress-free Oregon Ducks games are behind us, and with just two weeks remaining in the regular season, the postseason picture is starting to come into focus. Oregon will have a pair of intense matchups on their hands to close out the month of November, starting this weekend against the USC Trojans.

According to the College Football Playoff rankings, it's a top-20 matchup, with the winner staying in the midst of the playoff hunt, while the loser likely falls out of contention. This will be a notable week of CFP rankings, particularly when it comes to the movement for teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oklahoma Sooners, who had significant results over the weekend.

Last week, the Ducks were a bit lower in the CFP rankings than the US LBM Coaches Poll or AP Poll, but with a win over Minnesota on Friday, how did that impact them going forward?

Here's a look at how the playoff committee sees the top teams in the nation for their second official rankings:

  1. Ohio State Buckeyes
  2. Indiana Hoosiers
  3. Texas A&M Aggies
  4. Georgia Bulldogs
  5. Texas Tech Red Raiders
  6. Ole Miss Rebels
  7. Oregon Ducks
  8. Oklahoma Sooners
  9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  10. Alabama Crimson Tide
  11. BYU Cougars
  12. Utah Utes

  20. Tennessee Volunteers
  21. Illinois Fighting Illini
  22. Missouri Tigers

The next playoff rankings will come out on Tuesday of next week at 7 p.m. PST on ESPN.

How many teams in College Football Playoff 2025?

This is the second year that there are 12 teams in the College Football Playoff. For the first 10 iterations of the playoff, there were only four teams invited.

How does College Football Playoff format work?

In a change from last year, the seeding will be different in this year's playoff. No longer are the highest-ranked conference champions rewarded with a first-round bye. Instead, it is the four highest-ranked teams in the nation who will receive the bye weeks in the playoff, while the five highest-ranked conference champions get an automatic qualification.
