Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies are looking to secure some of the top prospects in Arizona in a loaded 2028 class, where the Grand Canyon State holds a trio of five-star recruits.
Among those five-stars is cornerback Keaton Fields, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound product of Hamilton High School, who is ranked as the No. 16 prospect in the nation and No. 2 player at his position by the 247Sports Composite. After extending an offer to him in early May, the Huskies joined a long list of suitors in contention for his services.
Fields holds 29 offers with Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, USC, and Texas among the programs in contention for his services, but secondary coach John Richardson has as strong of a pitch as anyone as the Huskies continue to build a relationship with the talented cornerback.

Over the last few years, Richardson has thrived at developing big, long cornerbacks. Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock, who are both listed at 6-foot-4, were selected in the third and fourth rounds of the 2026 NFL draft, respectively.
The coaching staff is also excited about the pairing of 6-foot-3 Dylan Robinson, who Fisch and defensive coordinator Ryan Walters have stated has first-round-caliber traits, and Virginia transfer Emmanuel Karnley, who tallied 8 pass breakups and an interception at Virginia in 2025.
On film, Fields displays all the traits that Richardson and Walters are looking for on the outside. Not only does he thrive in press coverage and display elite athleticism, but he’s also a very physical tackler who does an impressive job wrapping up receivers and limiting their ability to pick up yards after the catch, a category that both Davis and Prysock thrived in in 2025.
Richardson has also proven to be one of Washington’s strongest recruiters, earning four commitments from blue-chip cornerbacks over his first three recruiting cycles on Montlake: Robinson, Rahsjon Duncan, Jeron Jones, and Censere Gaylord. However, pulling in a pledge from Fields will be his biggest challenge yet.
