Florida State had a great day on Tuesday as they landed three commitments. The final one was 2027 four-star athlete Za'Kari Johnson, and he's been generating the most buzz of the group.

He didn't just commit to FSU, he put an exclamation point on it. Johnson posted on his Instagram account that he's shut down his recruitment and is completely locked in with the Seminoles. He is the eighth prospect in the 2027 class for Florida State that has shut his recruitment down, and he's also the third-highest-ranked recruit of the 2027 cycle for FSU behind four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune and four-star linebacker Jernard Albright.

Kudos need to be given to the Seminoles' staff for not only closing Johnson but getting him to shut down his recruitment. That's because a Junior Day trip in January and a game visit last September were his only trips to Tallahassee before committing.

Johnson played quarterback last season and produced over 1,300 all-purpose yards and 16 total touchdowns. He played defensive back as well and logged 10 tackles, one interception, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. With the Seminoles, Johnson will be used in the secondary.

He's the nation's No. 349 recruit and the No. 21 athlete in the 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Florida, Johnson is the No. 31 prospect.
