2026 Tennessee football roster: Fourth, fifth-year players

Tennessee will open fall training camp on Aug. 5 in preparation for its 2026 football season.
2026 will mark the fifth season at Tennessee for four student-athletes: running back Hunter Barnes, long snapper Bennett Brady, punter and kicker Josh Turbyville and punter Jackson Ross.
The 2026 season will also be the fourth for 10 Vols: tight end Ethan Davis, defensive lineman Daevin Hobbs, linebacker Arion Carter, running back DeSean Bishop, defensive lineman Tyree Weathersby, defensive lineman Nathan Robinson, lineback Jeremiah Telander, wide receiver Jack-Henry Jakobik, wide receiver Nathan Roberts and offensive lineman Shamurad Umarov.
Bishop, Carter and Telander will represent Tennessee at SEC media days on July 20. SEC media days will take place at JW Marriott and Tampa Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida.
From 2023-25, Carter appeared in 31 games for the Vols. He totaled 161 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception, 10 pass deflections, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Bishop appeared in 23 games, including 13 starts, from 2023-25. He totaled 256 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns on 256 attempts, while recording 16 receptions for 145 yards.
Telander totaled 158 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception, three pass deflections and three fumble recoveries in 39 games (21 starts) from 2023-25.
