Ohio State Lands Commit From 6-Foot-3, 305-Pound 4-Star Pass-Rusher

The Ohio State Buckeyes have had a solid start to recruiting so far for the 2027 class, but head coach Ryan Day still has plenty more to do to make the class elite.
The Buckeyes took a good step on Saturday by landing a commit from a pass-rusher for 2027.
Per 247 Sports, Ohio State is ranked No. 9 in recruiting for 2027, with three five-star commits and 12 four-star commits.
Per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals, four-star defensive lineman Karlos May is set to commit to Ohio State. He chose the Buckeyes over three quality programs in Auburn, Florida State, and Georgia.

May, a native from Birmingham, Alabama, was heavily recruited by teams in the South but chose to commit to Ohio State.
Fans on social media reacted to May choosing Ohio State. Many fans praised defensive line coach Larry Johnson for continuing to add to a stacked defensive line class.
"Good decision young man," wrote a fan. "Ohio State is the best program to develop defensive linemen."

Ohio State lost several key defensive starters from last season to the 2026 NFL Draft. The Buckeyes are replenishing their pass-rushing core with their 2027 class.
May joins fellow defensive linemen commits DJ Jacobs, Marcus Fakatou, and Wyatt Smith.
