Noles Land Elite Running Back Quintrevion Wisner From Portal

Florida State football has signed former Texas Longhorn running back Quintrevion Wisner from the transfer portal for the 2026 season.
The acquisition of Wisner makes sense considering Florida State's offense struggled in 2025, and Florida State will be without its top two rushers from the 2025 season.
Wisner was the top rusher over the last two seasons with the Longhorns. He appeared in 38 games for the Longhorns, starting in 21 games. Heading into his junior year, he was on the watchlist for the Doak Walker Award, Maxwell Award, and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.
In 2025, Wisner entered the season as a preseason first-team All-SEC running back. Unfortunately, a leg injury caused him to miss time, and he did not have the production many expected. He still had 22 receptions and averaged 4.6 yards per carry. He entered the season as the only returning player in the conference with over 1000 yards from the previous year.
His best year with the Longhorns was his 2024 sophomore year, when he accounted for 1,375 total yards, including six touchdowns, and averaged 4.7 yards per carry on the ground. He finished the season as a third team All SEC running back and set a Texas single-season record with 44 receptions as a running back.
Wisner was a top recruit in 2022 coming out of DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas. As a senior, the four-star player led his team to a state championship and had 846 yards on the ground, 44 receptions, and ten total touchdowns.
He chased Texas over Texas A&M and Oklahoma. Rivals had him listed as the No. 15 all-purpose back in the nation during his senior year.
Wisner brings experience, production and versatility to a revamped Florida State running back room that has a mix of youth and talent. Wisner is expected to get significant playing time based on the NIL package that Florida State provided.
In the mix for time will be true sophomore Ousmane Kromah, who was the top recruit for Florida State in 2025, and Samuel Singleton Jr who played in 11 of 12 games in 2025, finishing fourth on the team in rushing yards.
Florida State starts the season on August 29 at home against New Mexico St. Wisner and Kromah are expected to be the one-two punch that leads the ground game in this crucial year for Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles.
