BETTING ON NOTRE DAME

This Notre Dame football team is going to be one of the best teams in the country in 2026, and is likely going to be ranked in the top three in the preseason polls. It doesn’t matter what Notre Dame’s strength of schedule (or perceived lack of SOS) is, because in the eyes of Vegas… they are one of the favorites.

College football fans know this, and even the most hardened hater out there knows this… like Barstool’s Dave Portnoy.

BETTING ON YOURSELF

That’s exactly what Mike Denbrock has done, and now he’s one of the nation’s best offensive coordinators. With what should be an elite offensive line and a Heisman caliber quarterback, Denbrock is ready to show (again) what he can do for Notre Dame.

HOW IS 19 A NUMBER?

In Episode 19 of the 5th season entitled of NBC’s The West Wing, C.J. becomes furious over a new FCC ruling that deregulates media ownership, raising the national station ownership cap to 39.37%. She was mad about the ruling just being what the status quo was rather than making an actual difference (or something like that).

We have arrived at that West Wing moment in college football, and of course Notre Dame is involved (even if it’s not mentioned explicitly).

FORGOTTON PONIES

The SMU Mustangs are continually overlooked by fans and the media when it comes to being a difficult game for the Irish in 2026 — even though they will probably start the season ranked in the top 25. Now, I’m not suggesting SMU is a top 10 team, but they are a really good program right now and should be shown the same respect (if not more) than what BYU is getting.
