Oregon's Top Star Recognized in Shrine Bowl's Watch List For 2026 Season

The Oregon Ducks have continued to make headlines this offseason heading into the 2026 college football season.
Head coach Dan Lanning did an outstanding job not only of retaining some of its top playmakers from the 2025 season but also of acquiring multiple veterans through the transfer portal. These players set to lead the Ducks in 2026 have gained the recognition of NFL scouts and could eventually hear their names called during the 2027 NFL Draft.
On Tuesday, the East-West Shrine Bowl released its watch list filled with 1,000 college football players, with 15 of Oregon's top stars heading into the upcoming season.

Oregon's Star Playmakers in 2026
Leading the charge on offense for the Ducks will be quarterback Dante Moore. After forgoing the 2026 NFL Draft, Moore could greatly improve off his terrific 3,565 passing-yard, 30-touchdown campaign in 2025. And with plenty of experience under his belt, the highly-touted quarterback is already in the mix for the Heisman Trophy in 2026.
Luckily for Moore, the well-polished quarterback will have multiple receiving threats in tight end Jamari Johnson and wide receiver Evan Stewart.
Johnson was overshadowed by the likes of 2026 first-round selectee Kenyon Sadiq, but still managed to record 510 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Stewart, on the other hand, missed the entire 2025 season due to a torn patellar tendon in his right knee, but is expected to be back for the upcoming season.
On defense, the primary pass-rushing catalysts are back for another season in defensive tackle A'Mauri Washington and defensive end Matayo Uiagalelei. Washington, similar to Moore, could have entered the 2026 NFL Draft, but decided to return for another season.
The front-four duo combined for 67 tackles, 12 pass breakups, 7.5 sacks, and 6.5 tackles for loss, making them a lethal group up front.
In addition to the key returners on defense, Lanning also hit the transfer portal to replace Dillon Thieneman with former Minnesota Golden Gophers star Koi Perich. The well-regarded defensive back is coming off an electric 2025 campaign, as he finished with 82 tackles, two pass deflections, and one interception.
