College football win totals analysis

Expectations are sky-high once again in South Bend, with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish expected to approach 12 wins.

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr is seen as a Heisman Trophy odds frontrunner behind a solid offensive line.

There are six teams being given a realistic chance at 11+ wins, and they are Georgia, Indiana, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas Tech.

LSU is expected to be a lightning rod in 2026 following the Lane Kiffin hire. The Tigers are trading at 55% to reach nine wins.

College football win totals prediction

The SMU Mustangs return over 60% of a team that went 9-4 last year, including quarterback Kevin Jennings. Three of those four losses were by one score.

SMU avoids ACC heavyweights Miami and Clemson this year. Even if they lose both of their games vs. ranked opponents (at Louisville, at Notre Dame), a 10-win season is still within reach. Play to 45%.

Pick: SMU 10+ wins (40% at Kalshi)
