2026 Tennessee football position preview: Tight ends

Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football season with six tight ends on roster.
Ethan Davis returns to the Vols for his fourth season. The 6-foot-5, 247-pound redshirt junior appeared in 24 games, including four starts, from 2023-25.
Davis has totaled 36 receptions for 390 yards and four touchdowns. His longest reception is 40 yards. He led the Vols in receiving yards for tight ends (257) last season.
DaSaahn Brame returns for his second campaign in 2026. He totaled six receptions for 63 yards as a freshman last season. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound sophomore has appeared in nine games for the Vols.
Cole Harrison also returns to Tennessee in 2026 for his third season. The 6-foot-5, 239-pound redshirt sophomore appeared in five contests from 2024-25, totaling one reception for 17 yards.
The Vols received two tight end transfers following the 2025 season.
Redshirt junior Trent Thomas transferred to Tennessee from South Alabama. The 6-foot-5, 252-pound tight end played for the Jaguars from 2023-25, appearing in 26 games (13 starts).
Thomas totaled five receptions for 39 yards in 691 offensive plays. He also returned one kick for four yards.
Drake Martinez transferred to Tennessee from UT Martin. He also played at Houston Christian (2024), McNeese State (2023) and Colorado State (2021-22). The 6-foot-3, 245-pound senior is from Houston, Texas.
Luca Wolf enters his first season at Tennessee as a freshman. The Vienna, Austria native signed with the Vols from the NFL Academy in London, England. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end enrolled early at Tennessee in January and participated in spring football practices.
