Matt Campbell and Penn State Takes Center Stage Today at Big Ten Media Days

The Penn State Nittany Lions are going to be the Bell of the ball today in Chicago at Big Ten Media Days. The Big Ten threw out a fastball for the first day of Media Days by bringing in one of the newest head coaches who has the most pressure to perform next year.

Penn State's Matt Campbell will certainly have the spotlight on him as he is behind the microphone, having to answer how he turns this Penn State program into a winner.

If the Big Ten Media Days are anything like what we have experienced throughout the country with each of the other conferences, there are sure to be fireworks. This is the first time that some of these coaches will get behind the mic, and it will be a chance to learn about some of the players that we will be watching every single Saturday in the fall.

Joining Campbell on this trip are quarterback Rocco Becht, tackle Anthony Donkoh, and linebacker Tony Rojas. Donkoh and Rojas are both returning players, which is not only rare in college football today, but especially after what happened last year, it is rare to see in this program.

Becht will be answering questions for the first time as the Nittany Lions' signal-caller. It will be interesting to learn what he has to say and what his perspective is on the last couple of months.

For Campbell, he is going to be answering a ton of questions about the transition from Iowa State to Penn State from all angles. How did he establish his culture, what the biggest differences are in the program, how he is feeling with the pressure to win, and so much more.

He will be one of the headliners of this week's events, but will be joined by Pat Fitzgerald's return to the Big Ten, Bob Chesney's takeover in LA, and, of course, what does Curt Cignetti have to say?

Big Ten's Media Days are the final one of the Power 4, and they are the cherry on top of the offseason. It marks the end of the dead time and the start of football.

Fall camps are right around the corner, and the race to the Championship is just a few short days away. These players and coaches are going to be riled up and ready to go today in Chicago.
