“Love Island USA” star Clarke Carraway has split from Taylor Williams, with a source saying she made the “difficult decision” to part ways.
Another “Love Island USA” season 7 romance has come to an end. PEOPLE exclusively confirmed that Clarke Carraway and Taylor Williams have separated, a little over a year after the two left the Fiji villa as a couple.
According to a source close to Carraway, 25, the decision to end things was hers. The insider told the outlet that she “made the difficult decision to part ways with Taylor” and wishes him “the absolute best,” adding that she “will always be grateful for the time they shared together” and for the support they received from fans since the beginning.
The source framed the split as a turning point rather than a bitter ending, telling PEOPLE that “as she closes out this chapter, she’s looking forward to focusing on her growth and what’s ahead.”
The pair’s connection traces back to Casa Amor, where Williams, 26, chose to couple up with Carraway after previously being paired with Olandria Carthen. The two were later dumped from the villa together and made their relationship official in October 2025.
Their post-show journey played out publicly on season 2 of “Love Island: Beyond the Villa,” including a scary moment when Williams suffered a horse-riding accident.
At the time, he credited the ordeal with deepening their bond, telling Cosmopolitan in April that being on bed rest let him see “who Clarke really was,” describing her caring nature and saying the experience made them “super strong.”
The timing of the breakup is notable, arriving just days after PEOPLE confirmed that Carthen, the same islander Williams had originally been paired with, had ended her own relationship with fellow season 7 star Nicolas Vansteenberghe. In that case, a source cited distance and demanding schedules, noting the two remain close friends.
Together, the back-to-back splits mark a rough stretch for season 7’s post-villa couples, whose relationships fans have followed closely since the season wrapped. For Carraway, though, the message relayed through her camp is one of looking forward, choosing to close the chapter on her own terms and turn her attention toward what comes next.
