The Georgia Bulldogs have finally returned to the top-10 national recruiting rankings after landing a commitment from four-star safety recruit Seth Williams. Georgia now has the No. 9 recruiting class in the country.
The Bulldogs have a long way to go if they want to finish with a top-five recruiting class, but UGA at least has a strong foundation. Georgia is one of five SEC teams in the top-10 recruiting rankings for the class of 2027.
The Texas A&M Aggies have the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation, according to the 247Sports rankings (as of August 2). Behind Texas A&M is No. 2 Miami, No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 4 Oregon and No. 5 Texas.
There's still a long way to go before the early signing period in December. A few key recruits will flip, but for the most part recruits will stick with where they are committed. The vast majority of the elite 2027 recruits are already committed to top college football programs.
