If you ever have an option — make sure it’s a triple.

The college football offseason has been long and a little weird (as all good CFB offseasons generally are). For Notre Dame football fans, the massive gap from the end of the Stanford game to now has seemed like the longest journey, and we still have over a month to go until the first game of the year is finally played.

The arrival of fall camp lets us begin the process of putting away the offseason and jump into fall camp with some real energy.

Here are a few of the toys left lying arounf the living room…

PUT HIM BACK ON THE TEAM

With the new ruling from a federal judge, players that exhausted their 4 years of eligibility on the spring, are now eligible for a fifth year this season. Only one Irish player fits that description and it’s Junior Tuihalamaka. If he wants to come back to Notre Dame for one more season, it’s my opinion that the Irish absolutely should. Do it… the physicality and the hair is a potent combo.

FAMILIAR LOOK

Media members and other CFB personalities from all over the country have been praising Notre Dame’s new Shields Family Hall — and rightfully so. It’s an incredible facility. Still… there is a familiarity here that reminds people of more of the same from other parts of the country. Is there ONE firm that designs these things? Is there ONE firm to come in and drone or AI drone it too? Just asking questions here.

YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?

Naming Brothers as the best bar at Notre Dame is about as corporate as Brothers and the Eddy Street Commons themselves. I thought we lived in America, but again, naming Brothers here feel like fascism.

BIG PROBLEM

The biggest problem out there isn’t that Notre Dame is incappable of winning a big game (which is still very much the national narrative) it’s coming up with reasons why the big games which Notre Dame wins aren’t actually big game wins. Mr. Clean Jr. only helps the idiots here.
