As the Washington Huskies go through the early scouting process in the 2028 class, Jedd Fisch's coaching staff has its eyes on some of the nation's top prospects from around the country.

One player on that list is four-star running back Elijah Cromwell, a product of Cherry Creek High School in Colorado. Ranked as the No. 166 overall prospect and No. 11 running back in the 2028 class by the 247Sports Composite, position coach Scottie Graham extended an offer to the 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect, who has received interest from all over the country.

Cromwell holds 24 offers, with California, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Oregon among the other interested parties, thanks to a skill set that could help him develop into an important contributor at the college level.

Through his first two years of high school, Cromwell has compiled 691 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground, while adding 29 catches for 268 yards and a pair of scores, showing off the ability to catch the ball while lined up as a receiver, and not just out of the backfield.

On film, Cromwell shows off explosive speed and the vision and tackle-breaking ability to weave through traffic to pick up yards after contact. He also finishes runs with surprising physicality, while he displays an understanding of the route tree, which could help him move all over the formation at the next level.

Washington has shown interest in some of the nation's top running backs in the 2028 class after securing a pledge from four-star Jeremy Adeyanju in 2027, and could have an in with Cromwell after earning a commitment from his teammate, four-star defensive tackle TI Umu-Cais in the 2026 class.
