After the Washington Huskies had a lot of success recruiting linebackers in the 2027 class, position coach Brian Odom is looking to replicate it in 2028 and has his eye on four-star linebacker Allen Kennett V.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound product of Servite High School, who is teammates with 2027 commit Isaiah Leilua, is ranked as the No. 223 overall prospect and No. 16 linebacker in the 2028 class by 247Sports, and has generated interest from all over the country.

Kennett saw an explosion of offers following a strong sophomore season, where he recorded 69 tackles, 7 for loss, with 2 sacks and an interception. Jedd Fisch's coaching staff entered the fold in May alongside 19 other programs, with Michigan, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, and USC all in the mix.

Throughout his breakout campaign, Kennett showcased the skill set that Odom and defensive coordinator Ryan Walters are looking for in the middle on film.

The promising prospect displays high-end athletic traits in coverage, dropping into coverage fluidly and reading the quarterback's eyes. His strong motor and instincts also show up when defending the run, where he's able to shoot gaps and combat blocks effectively to disrupt opposing ball carriers and occasionally get after the quarterback too.

As the picture becomes clearer in 2028, Kennett could emerge as a priority target for the Huskies behind five-star linebacker Tahj Gray.
