Texas A&M (10-0, 7-0) enters Week 13 as one of the three best teams in the country, entering the week ranked No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings behind No. 2 Indiana and No. 1 Ohio State, and while the Aggies’ current standing can easily be debated, the goal is to finish 12-0, play in the SEC Championship Game, and earn a top 3 seed in the CFP.
One of Texas A&M’s best players has been sidelined for the last four games, as senior running back Le’Veon Moss, who ran for 389 yards and six touchdowns before injuring his ankle during the second half against the Florida Gators, has had to watch his team continue its winning streak on the sidelines over the last five weeks.
However, on Monday, head coach Mike Elko stated that he still expects the star to return during the regular season, but with just two games remaining against Samford and Texas on the road, many of us in the media believe his official return will come against the Longhorns in DKR, but on a limited snap count.
Still, Moss is widely considered one of the best running backs in the country, and only makes Texas A&M’s 16th-ranked offense that much better. On Wednesday night, the latest episode of Texas A&M football’s “The Pulse” features a short snippet of Le’Veon Moss in his practice uniform, participating in one of the Aggies’ recent practices, which is a perfect sign that the senior will return to the field very soon.
Hypothetically, Moss could make his return against Samford, rotating in the lineup to get back to the form, take hits, and test his ankle out before his snap count likely increases against the Longhorns. Rueben Owens is also dealing with a minor injury, but isn’t expected to miss time.
From the latest episode of The Pulse released by Texas A&M football, RB Le’Veon Moss is seen in uniform, participating in practice.
Moss hasn’t played since suffering an injury vs Florida in Week 7.
