LSU OT Jordan Seaton lands on FWAA 2026 Outland Trophy Preseason Watch List

The Football Writers Association of America announced the preseason watch list for the 2026 Outland Trophy on Tuesday, which recognizes 68 returning standout interior linemen representing all 10 of the FBS conferences plus independents. The Outland Trophy has been presented to the best interior lineman in college football since 1946.

One familiar name on the watch list is LSU OT Jordan Seaton who is back on the list after transferring from Colorado.

Players may be added or removed from the watch list during the course of the season. For a third year now, the FWAA will announce an Outland Trophy National Player of the Week each Tuesday this season. If not already on the watch list, each week’s honored player will be added at that time

The semifinalists for the Outland Trophy will be announced on November 18th, followed by a joint announcement with ESPN of the three finalists on November 24th. The 81st recipient of the Outland Trophy will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards, live on ESPN in December. The official presentation to the winner will be made at the Outland Trophy Awards Dinner in Omaha on January 27, 2027.
