Lawyer who represented Trump joins defense team for Nolan Wells’ friends

The expanded legal team says it is prepared to pursue remedies over allegedly defamatory online claims.
The legal battle surrounding the death of Nolan Wells has taken another turn, with several of his friends strengthening their legal defense as online speculation about the case continues to intensify.
According to TMZ, attorney J. Tyler Cox, who represents three of Wells’ friends, has brought in prominent defamation lawyer Edward Andrew Paltzik to help address what the legal team describes as false and damaging claims circulating online. Paltzik has previously represented President Donald Trump in several high-profile media-related legal disputes involving organizations including CBS/Paramount, The New York Times and the BBC.
The expanded legal team represents Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo and Morgan Seymour, three young men who have faced widespread scrutiny on social media following Wells’ death. None of the three has been charged with a crime in connection with the case.
TMZ, citing comments made by “The Officer Tatum Show” host Brandon Tatum, reported that the move signals a more aggressive legal strategy against individuals who continue to publish allegations that the attorneys contend are defamatory. While no defamation lawsuits have been announced, the legal team has indicated it is prepared to pursue legal remedies if necessary.
“Targeted” friends of Nolan Wells have also established a legal defense fund through GiveSendGo, reportedly organized by Dr. Benjamin Hudson, to assist with mounting legal expenses. To date, the fund has raised nearly $160,000.
The latest development follows a series of legal actions tied to the ongoing public attention surrounding the case. Bart Edmiston Jr., another friend of Wells, sent a cease-and-desist letter to OnlyFans creator Kymbra Li, alleging she falsely connected him to Wells’ death and an alleged cover-up. Those claims have been denied.
The case has also prompted criminal proceedings unrelated to Wells’ death itself. A California man was arrested after authorities alleged he sent threatening messages to Judge Ashlee Cole, who is Warren Hudson’s stepmother, and her children.
As investigations continue, authorities have not announced criminal charges against Wells’ friends, and the circumstances surrounding Nolan Wells‘ death remain under active review.
