Lane Kiffin has become one of the most well-known, for better or for worse, coaches in college football. LSU has also created such a well-known brand, and they would never pass up the opportunity to capitalize on all the interest around their head coach. He is a very marketable person, so it made it a no-brainer to continue one of their already existing parts of their radio network.

When Brian Kelly was head coach, LSU had the “Brian Kelly Show”, which was a glimpse into the thought process of LSU’s coach at the time. Interest at the time may not have been too high because of the strained relationship between fans and the coaching staff, but now many will be interested in what Kiffin could say.

Today, it was announced that the next iteration of LSU’s head coach podcast, the “Lane Kiffin Show,” will premiere at Court to Table on September 3rd.

Off the field, Kiffin likes to play pickleball, so having it at a restaurant that doubles as a place to play that sport makes sense for the new home of the podcast, but it also helps just to be in the community. Kiffin not becoming a coach who feels detached from Baton Rouge will just cause issues. So, having the podcast in front of an audience will do wonders for Kiffin’s relationship with fans. Doing a podcast in front of fans won’t guarantee this, as we saw with Kelly previously, but it does help.
