Emmett Johnson discussed his mindset heading into his first NFL game

Kansas City Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson spoke with reporters after practice on Saturday at Missouri Western State University. He opened up about his mindset leading up to his first NFL game next Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams at Arrowhead Stadium.

"Honestly, just getting out there and winning the football game, first of all, but just attacking every rep that I get," Johnson said, "whatever opportunity I get, making the most out of it, and just showing coach that he can rely on me as well as the other players on the team."

Johnson will be making his professional football game debut next week, but it won't be his first game at Arrowhead Stadium. During his game last year playing for Nebraska against Cincinnati, Johnson finished with 108 rushing yards and seven catches for 27 yards in the Cornhuskers' 20-17 victory.

"Played there a year ago, but now obviously a different level," said Johnson. "Same game, though. Just go out there and play ball."

During his four seasons at Nebraska, Johnson appeared in 41 games, tallying 2,460 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 458 attempts. He also had 92 receptions for 702 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
