Florida football reveals beautiful throwback jersey

The Florida football program has revealed a new throwback jersey for the 2026 college football season, and it is gorgeous.

The uniform honors Steve Spurrier’s 1996 Heisman Trophy season and has a white jersey and pants. It also has a blue helmet with the “F” logo on it.

The Gators will wear the uniform at some point during the 2026 college football season. The exact game has yet to be announced.

The 2026 season will be Jon Sumrall’s first as the Gators’ head coach after coaching the Tulane Green Wave for the last two seasons. He registered a 20-8 record with the Green Wave and led them to the College Football Playoff during the 2025 season.

Before his two-year tenure with the Green Wave, he coached the Troy Trojans, winning 23 of 27 games. He has a 43-12 overall record as a head coach.

His tenure with the Gators will start on Sept. 5 with a matchup against the Florida Atlantic Owls. They’ll then play another non-conference game on Sept. 12 before playing the Auburn Tigers in their SEC opener on Sept. 19.

Kickoff for their Sept. 5 game against the Owls will be at 7:45 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
