Washington 2027 Class Breakdown: Huskies after third-straight Top-25 recruiting class

With all eyes on the Big Ten, Washington would love to be the conference’s next big story. The Huskies are doing their part on the recruiting trail under head coach Jedd Fisch.
Last cycle, UW inked a landmark haul that finished 13th in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. As of Aug. 10, it has the No. 22 class in the 2027 cycle. That’s good for 7th in the Big Ten, ahead of Penn State, Wisconsin, defending champs Indiana, Minnesota and others.
This senior haul for the Huskies is buoyed by eight blue-chippers. They’ve gone all over the country to land top targets and that’s especially true when looking at their three highest-ranked commits. The headliner is Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf.
The 6-foot-5 passer has been in the fold since April. He’s now the No. 13 QB in the nation and No. 4 prospect in the Grand Canyon State. He reminds Rivals’ Scouting and Rankings Team of Super Bowl champion Nick Foles.
Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss four-star wide receiver Tre Moore was a big early win during the start of official visit season in June. IMG Academy (Fla.) four-star cornerback Censere Gaylord pledged last month. Both are top-200 overall recruits and top-30 prospects at their respective positions.
In-state recruiting has paid dividends for Fisch and Co. too, however. Five of the 10 highest-ranked recruits in the Evergreen State are pledged to the Huskies. That includes three four-stars: Sumner WR Braylon Pope, O’Dea defensive lineman Tevita Nonu and Puyallup interior offensive lineman Gecova Doyal.
Peoria (Ariz.) four-star WR Dontay Tyson forms quite the blue-chip pass-catching trio alongside Moore and Pope. All three are top-50 prospects at the position. In total, there are 10 commits on the offensive side of the ball, 12 on defense and a pair of special teamers.
