The 2026 football season for the Auburn Tigers is on the horizon. As we anticipate the start of the season, let's introduce you to a key member of the 2026 roster.
One of the more versatile players on the Auburn football roster is offensive lineman Kail Ellis. As a freshman in 2025, Ellis played in eight games and started two games at center after starter Connor Lew had his season ended due to injury. Against Arkansas, he, along with the rest of the offensive line, opened opportunities for the Tigers' rushing attack to gain 230 yards.
He showed his potential as a player, and he was rewarded by being named to the 2025 SEC All-Freshman Team. He also excelled in the classroom, being named to the 2025-26 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll. Ellis most likely will not be the starter at center with South Florida transfer Cole Best on the roster.
