It’s been an honor-laden preseason for Duce Robinson, with the latest recognition coming on Tuesday as the Florida State wide receiver was named to the Wuerffel Trophy watch list.

Awarded to the college football player who “best combines exemplary service with leadership and achievement on and off the field,” former offensive lineman Dillan Gibbons (2022) is the only FSU player to have won the award.

Robinson, who earned the Bill McGrotha Award following the 2025 season for his humanitarian efforts and was also nominated for the AFCA Good Works Team this year, has had a consistent presence in off-the-field efforts since arriving in Tallahassee. His work has included being part of Next Level Flag Football, an organization that serves kids through seventh grade with the goal of helping children learn skills and develop a passion for football, participating in Literacy Week at Astoria Park Elementary in January, parterning with the Keep Climbing Family Foundation for a winter coat drive at Astoria Park, donating and distrubuting turkeys with former Seminole Micah Pettus for Thanksgiving last year and serving as a panelist for Horizons Unlimited, speaking to first-generation students for a panel titled “Success through Adversity: Strategies through Athletics.”

Most recently, he raised over $10,000 for Special Olympics of Florida during the Duce Robinson Charity Pickleball Classic last month.

For his on-the-field success, he’s earned spots on the Maxwell Award Watch List, Sporting News Preseason All-American Second Team and the Preseason All-ACC Team.

He was a first-team All-ACC wide receiver, third-team All-American and a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award in 2025, catching 56 passes for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns and ranking ninth nationally after the regular season in receiving yards. His five 120-yard games were the most among P4 receivers, second nationally and the most at FSU since 2014. Robinson averaged 19.30 yards per reception, second in the ACC behind only teammate Micahi Danzy.

A two-time ACC Receiver of the Week, Robinson averaged 102.8 receiving yards over eight ACC games in 2025, best in the league and 12 yards better than the next-best receiver. In the regular season, Robinson led the conference with 17 20-yard catches, 12 30-yard receptions and six 40-yard grabs.

Academically, Robinson became Florida State’s first first-team Academic All-American since 2012 and just the ninth in program history.
