Tulane football unveils beautiful alternate jersey for home opener

The Tulane Green Wave football program will wear a special jersey and uniform for its home opener against the South Alabama Jaguars on Sept. 12.

Tulane will wear Mardi Gras-themed helmets and uniforms for that game. Here’s a close-up of what they look like.

The uniforms came out great and have a lot of college football fans fired up.

“These are incredible,” one post read.

“These are so beyond sick. Elite choice to wear them against South Alabama,” a fan wrote.

“Leader in the clubhouse for alternate uniform of the year. Incredible,” another fan wrote.

“I know a Jersey and Helmet of the Year winner when I see one,” another post read.

“Tulane can do no wrong when it comes to uniforms. Immediately one of the best alternates to ever exist,” another post read.

Tulane is coming off an appearance in the College Football Playoff before losing to the Ole Miss Rebels in the first round. Will Hall is also the new head coach after Jon Sumrall left to take the Florida job.

Tulane will open the 2026 season on the road against the Duke Blue Devils before returning home to play South Alabama. Kickoff for the Tulane-South Alabama game will be at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
