OU football adds Utah State among changes to Sooners' 2027 schedule

NORMAN — Oklahoma football has added Utah State to its 2027 schedule and moved its contest against SMU at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Sooners will host the Aggies at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium during Week Zero on Aug. 28 and will face the Mustangs during Week 1 on Sept. 4 instead of the previously scheduled Sept. 11.

OU still has one non-conference opening on its 2027 slate. SEC contests will be against Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee (all at home), vs. Texas (in Dallas), at Auburn, at LSU, at Ole Miss and at Vanderbilt. 

The Sooners' contest against SMU will be the second of a two-game home-and-home series after OU defeated the Mustangs in 2023.

OU's non-conference opponents in 2028 will be Houston, Missouri State and Temple.
