Why LSU football should be confident in the offensive line

LSU football's offensive line is benefiting from continuity at fall camp. The Tigers have relied on the same starting five dating back to the spring and the group has remained consistent as the season approaches.

LSU's starting offensive line throughout fall camp has been: LT Jordan Seaton, LG Bo Bordelon, C Braelin Moore, RG Aliou Bah, and RT Weston Davis. Davis missed a day of practice, but he's been LSU's first-team right tackle when he's on the practice field.

Last year, LSU couldn't decide on a starting five as the season approached. That's usually not a good sign. When an offensive line position battle stretches deep into fall camp, it usually means a player isn't stepping up. That turned out to be the case for LSU in 2025, as the offensive line struggled all season.

When Lane Kiffin took over as LSU's head coach, he knew fixing the offensive line was critical. That position's failures last year played a major role in LSU falling short of expectations and in the firing of head coach Brian Kelly.

LSU sticking with the same five means there's at least a baseline level of trust in this group. Of course, it could also mean LSU really doesn't trust whoever No. 6 would be, but it does mean something LSU doesn't seem interested in rotating. That fact alone should have LSU fans more confident in this group entering 2026.
