College football is around the corner, and Ohio Football could be one of the best teams in the country. Now, the Oregon football defense might be better, as they were able to recruit a 4-star linebacker to further cement that side of the football, according to NCAA beat reporter Hayes Fawcett.
“BREAKING: Four-Star LB has Committed to Oregon, he tells me for @Rivals. The 6’3 245 LB chose the Ducks over Georgia, Ohio State, and Cal Feister was the Top Uncommitted Recruit in the 2027 Class,” Fawcett wrote on X.
Oregon Football is an elite team, and getting Feister could push them over the edge. Significantly, he had 102 tackles, including 32 for a loss, nine sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles, and two defensive touchdowns in his junior season of high school. On offense, he ran for 895 yards with 13 rushing touchdowns and 9.7 yards per carry in nine games.

Feister was the Northeast Inland District Defensive Player of the Year, and nearly won the 2025 Ohio Mr. Football award. He will likely focus primarily on defense as he joins a Ducks team that already includes edge rusher Matayo Uiagalelei, edge rusher Teitum Tuioti, and safety Koi Perich. Now, he will get an opportunity to make his mark, as he joins Oregon Football with the goal of winning the National Championship.
With Oregon football expected to contend, there will be plenty of eyes on the Ducks. The Ducks start their season with a home game against Boise State. They have plenty of significant showdowns this season, including a battle with USC at the Coliseum, a home game with UCLA, and a tough road game in November against Ohio State.
