The 2026 college football season is right around the corner as we are three weeks away from Week 1. For the Duke football program, they are getting set to face off against Tulane in Week 1, hosting the Green Wave to open their season.

Duke is coming off a 2025 campaign in which they won the Atlantic Coast Conference title, earning their spot through a tiebreaker. The Blue Devils then beat Arizona State in their bowl game are hoping to build on that momentum.

With Duke losing quarterback Darian Mensah to Miami, the Blue Devils offense will look a lot different this season. They won't have a star quarterback to rely on so it's up to others on the offense to step one.

One of those players includes tight end Jeremiah Hasley.

The tight end returns for another season, coming off a big 2025 campaign in which he caught 48 receptions for 517 yards and eight touchdowns. He earned a Honorable Mention All-ACC honor and was named a preseason All-American for 2026.

Now, he's earning another accolade as he was one of 101 players to be named to Bruce Feldman's 2026 college football "Freaks List," as released by The Athletic. Hasley was ranked No. 56 on the list of 101 players.

Here is what Feldman had to say about Hasley on the list:

He’s made huge improvements since coming to Duke in the summer of 2022. Hasley has added 18 pounds to his current 6-3 1/2, 251-pound frame, and he’s added almost eight inches to his vertical jump (now 37 inches). His L-drill time this offseason was 7.23 seconds (improved from 7.69) and his shuttle time is 4.28 (improved from 4.59).

His 10-yard split of 1.59 (improved from 1.70) would’ve only been topped by Oregon’s super freak Kenyon Sadiq at last year’s combine. His bench press is 425 pounds, up 95 pounds since arriving at Duke. He bounced back from a season-ending knee injury in 2024 to make 40 receptions for 454 yards and six TDs.

With a quarterback competition going on at Duke, Hasley could help the offense in terms of being a big-time target for whoever wins the job.
