It’s time to start preparing for the 2026 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 3 of the Fran Brown Era.

Name: David Ndukwe

Position: Defensive Back

Year: Freshman

Height: 6’6”

Weight: 325 lbs

Hometown: Arabia, GA

High School/College: Arabia Mountain/Western Kentucky/Houston

2025 stats: Missed most of the season with an injury. Back in 2024, Ndukwe had a pass blocking grade of 73.9 in 11 games and only allowed 1 sack in 227 pass attempts.

2026 projections: Ndukwe is back practicing but he’s likely going to start off on the second unit. Keep an eye on him if any of the starters struggle as he’s got the size and experience to make an impact on the season.

How’d he get here?: Originally committed to Western Kentucky over offers from FIU, South Alabama and Akron. Transferred to Syracuse after the spring semester.

What’d recruiting sites say?: Rated three stars out of high school. Was not rated as a transfer
