As the college football season inches closer and closer, it's clear that Ohio State will again enter the season as one of the most talented teams in the country.

Over the weekend CBS Sports released its top 150 players around the country, and no surprise, Ohio State saw numerous players on the list, headlined by Heisman candidate Jeremiah Smith.

Smith led the list off as No. 1 in the country, citing the 'generational talent' he brings to the field.

"Generational talent is an overused term but Smith is a unicorn who could have gone straight from high school to the NFL," analyst Blake Brockermeyer wrote. "Over the last three years I have at times run out of things to say about the best receiving prospect I have ever evaluated. Smith was my preseason No. 1 player last year as well. Rare talents like Smith don't come around often and he has the ability to take over the game every time he touches the football."

There's no denying Smith's talent and exceptional resume that comes with him into his third season. The All-American wideout is not the lone talent near the top of the list, however. His quarterback is also in the top-25, sitting at No. 19 on the list.

Julian Sayin enters his third season in the Buckeyes program with high expectations. He also will enter with a different offensive coordinator, this year being former NFL coach Arthur Smith. A different voice and experiences will surely only elevate the play of Sayin, and thus Jeremiah Smith.

Staying on the offensive side of the ball is No. 75 on the list, Bo Jackson. The stellar freshman running back ran for over 1,000 yards last year and now emerges as one of the top backs in the country.

No. 87 on the list is linebacker Christian Alliegro. Alliegro arrives from Big Ten foe Wisconsin and brings with him 53 tackles last season to go along with 8.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks.

So far, none may be as important to the success of Ohio State this year than No. 105 on the list, and the final Buckeye; offensive lineman Austin Siereveld. Siereveld and the rest of the offensive line are the true x-factor this season for the Buckeyes after failing to meet the physical expectations during key matchups against top pass rushes in Indiana and Miami last season. The veteran is without a doubt a critical part of the Ohio State game plan this year.

Ohio State enters the season as the top team in the preseason coaches poll and have high expectations to play deep into January.

Every player on this list will certainly play a significant role in helping them get back to a National Championship.
