On Monday, the AP Preseason Top 25 Poll was released. The Michigan Wolverines were ranked No. 16.

Michigan ranked higher in the 2025 preseason AP Top 25 poll despite Bryce Underwood being a freshman starting quarterback and Sherrone Moore being head coach. Michigan has a much more competent staff under head coach new head coach Kyle Whittingham and Underwood should be improved as a sophomore.
