The Kansas State Wildcats are among a handful of college football teams that are now under the Progressive umbrella.
The school announced it has a partnership with the insurance starting this season.
"We are pleased that K-State has been included in this national partnership opportunity which speaks volume about our football program and brand," K-State athletic director Gene Taylor said. "Progressive is a household name and brand itself, and entering the college football space will provide them new exposure opportunities."
The other schools to have this on-field branding are the Boise State Broncos, Colorado Buffaloes, Georgia Bulldogs, Iowa Hawkeyes, Ole Miss Rebels, Oregon Ducks, Purdue Boilermakers, SMU Mustangs, Syracuse Orangemen, Texas Tech Red Raiders, USC Trojans and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
As part of the agreement, teams will have in-game videoboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations. There will also be other features to engage fans before and during the game.
The deal comes as the coach Collin Klein era begins in Manhattan. He replaced Chris Klieman, who resigned after finishing 6-6 last season. Klein, who played quarterback at Kansas State in the early 2010s, spent the last two years as the offensive coordinator for the Texas A & M Aggies. Prior to that, he held the same position with the Wildcats.
Kansas State opens the season against Nicholls Sept. 5 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
KLEIN MAKES ANOTHER OFFER
With less than a month until Kansas State football returns, the program is still game planning for the future.
It offered another 2028 class player on Monday morning. It was another tight end prospect, this time three-star Brady Reeves. He currently attends Hill-Murray High School in Maplewood, MN. Reeves also received offers from Vanderbilt, Iowa State, and Miami (OH). He's ranked right outside the top 20 at his position on 247Sports. Last season, Reeves had 25 receptions for 327 yards and nine touchdowns.
