Last Saturday, Texas A&M landed its second commitment in the 2028 recruiting class, reeling in one of the most talented signal callers in the country, as five-star quarterback Donald Tabron II chose the Aggies over LSU and Oregon, due to his strong relationship with quarterbacks coach Joey Lynch and new offensive coordinator Holman Wiggins.

While Holman Wiggins has yet to call plays during his coaching career, his background as one of the top wide receiver coaches and developers has laid the groundwork for a balanced offense, focused on utilizing every playmaker, especially starting quarterback Marcel Reed, whose dual-threat skill set was somewhat ignored by former OC Collin Klein during the 2025 season.

Tabron, who already looks like an established passer heading into his junior season, has shown the ability to make every throw with pinpoint accuracy, while his spiral is a thing of beauty. Combined with 2027 four-star quarterback Jayce Johnson, Texas A&M's future QB rotation is all but set, providing coach Mike Elko, Lynch, and Wiggins with their future starters for the year to come, on paper, at least.

Thanks to 247Sports insider and evaluator Allen Trieu for the footage, Donald Tabron's elite arm was on full display during his recent scrimmage, completing a deep ball with impressive touch for a touchdown in the right corner of the end zone. At this stage of his career, Tabron's future as Texas A&M's starting quarterback looks even more promising.
