'College GameDay' attending 3 straight SEC games to start the season

ESPN's "College GameDay" has announced some long-expected news. The show will be attending the LSU Tigers at Ole Miss Rebels game in Week 3 of the 2026 college football season as former Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin returns to Oxford. Kiffin's return will be the first time playing his former school, who he abandoned during the Rebels' College Football Playoff run last season.
GameDay picked the LSU at Ole Miss game over other good Week 3 games on Saturday, Sept. 19 including SMU at Louisville, Florida State at Alabama, Florida at Auburn, Georgia at Arkansas and North Carolina at Clemson. GameDay will attend three straight SEC campuses to start the season.
GameDay attending three straight SEC games to start the season is probably not a good sign for Georgia Bulldogs fans hoping GameDay will attend the Oklahoma at Georgia game in Week 4. Instead, GameDay may feel compelled to attend another conference's campus in Week 4.
The popular ESPN pregame show will not attend a game in Week 0. GameDay debuts with the Clemson at LSU game in Week 1, which means GameDay is already scheduled to attend two LSU games. GameDay will attend the Ohio State at Texas game in Week 2.
