The Big 12 has a few teams capable of making a serious run at the College Football Playoff. Texas Tech and Kansas State lead that conversation, but teams like Utah and Oklahoma State could also emerge as legitimate contenders. BYU will also look to build on its recent success and remain in the mix for the conference crown.
The Big 12 will be one of the most unpredictable conferences to watch during the 2026 season. Unlike the SEC and Big Ten, the conference does not have a clear-cut favorite, which could make the race for the title wide open. Can Texas Tech take the next step and repeat in the Big 12?
