The 2026 football season for the Auburn Tigers is on the horizon. As we anticipate the start of the season, let's introduce you to a key member of the 2026 roster.
On paper, the Auburn Tigers should have one of the best rushing attacks in college football. Leading the way in the group is the returning Jeremiah Cobb. He led the Tigers in rushing last season with 969 yards and scored five touchdowns. He would have easily surpassed 1,000 yards had the offense had a more consistent identity when running the football. His best game of the season was against Arkansas with 153 yards in the Auburn's 33-24 win.
Entering the 2025 season, Cobb only had 314 yards combined in his first two seasons on the Plains. He tripled that output as the featured back. He will not be alone in the backfield. He is joined by Baylor transfer Bryson Washington and South Florida transfer Nykahi Davenport. Also, quarterback Byrum Brown will keep a defense on alert with his ability as a runner as well. In short, the Auburn running game has the ability to be unstoppable.
