FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football safety Larry Worth III was ejected during the third quarter of Arkansas football’s game against Mississippi State on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Worth committed a targeting penalty against Bulldogs’ quarterback Kamario Taylor with 5:32 remaining in the third quarter. Worth filled the hole and provided a powerful tackle on Taylor, but he led with his helmet and made contact with the quarterback’s head.
Taylor scored on a 20-yard run two plays later, trimming the Razorbacks‘ lead to 28-21.
This was the fourth penalty against Arkansas in a two-minute span. A personal foul on Mike Washington Jr. and an unsportsmanlike flag on Bobby Petrino for arguing the call forced the Hogs to kickoff from their own 10-yard line after a score by Washington. They also committed a personal foul penalty on the kickoff.
The Razorbacks are searching for their first win since Week 2.
