What's the series history between Florida State and New Mexico State?

We have almost made it to the finish line, folks. Football season is just days away. Florida State's first game of the season is against Conference USA's New Mexico State. The Aggies and Seminoles have faced off before, but what is the full series history between these two? Here's the full breakdown.

Florida State's record vs. New Mexico State is 1-0, as they have met just once in 1964. The Seminoles handily defeated the Aggies, 36-0.

The Seminoles have a positive record against Conference USA teams, with FSU being 21-11-1 against the conference all-time. Their last matchup against a C-USA opponent was in 2017 against Southern Miss, where the Seminoles defeated them in the Independence Bowl, 42-13.

In 1964, FSU would go on to finish 9-1-1 and make an appearance in the Gator Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners. They would finish No. 11 in the UPI poll. This was also a year they had legendary wide receiver Fred Biletnikoff on the team, and he caught 15 touchdowns for 1,179 yards, the most in the nation.

FSU will look to extend its 60-year win streak against New Mexico State to 2-0 when they welcome the Aggies to town on Aug. 29. Fans can catch the game at 7 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
