Predicting every Power 4 college football score in Week 0

College football is back. Saturday will mark Week 0, which will give fans a taste of what’s to come this season. There will be five Power 4 games on TV, and we are here to predict each of those games.

There are a couple of games to closely watch this Saturday, and there will also be a few you can tune into if you like blowouts. Here is my prediction for each of the Power 4 games this weekend.

North Carolina vs. TCU

Week 0 will open with the annual game in Dublin, Ireland. And this time, we get North Carolina vs. TCU, and Bill Belichick needs to make a statement.

Both programs have a new starting quarterback behind center, as the Tar Heels start Billy Edwards Jr. and the Horned Frogs have Harvard sensation Jaden Craig. TCU is the better team, and it’s going to show this weekend.

Prediction: TCU 31, North Carolina 17

San Jose State vs. USC

The Trojans enter Week 0 with a new-look wide receiver corps after losing both Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane. However, USC has Jayden Maiava back behind center, along with a solid running back tandem.

The Trojans are a massive favorite entering this game, and this will come down to how many points Lincoln Riley wants to put up before calling off the dogs — or maybe even the second-string dogs are just that good.

Prediction: USC 49, San Jose State 6

NC State vs. Virginia

Virginia surprised a lot of people last season, doing what it did, and the Cavs have former Penn State and Missouri signal caller Beau Pribulla leading the charge behind center. But Virginia is entering Week 0 undermanned, as the Cavs are without 16 players entering Saturday.

NC State is in better shape, and the Wolfpack has sensational quarterback CJ Bailey, who could be one of the top quarterbacks in the ACC. Look for NC State to get on the board with an upset.

Prediction: NC State 27, Virginia 24

Hawaii vs. Stanford

Stanford enters the game as a four-point favorite, and Hawaii is no slouch of a program. The Rainbow Warriors have an intriguing quarterback in Micah Alejado, who threw for over 3,100 yards last season. He will make Stanford’s defense work in Week 0.

As for the Cardinals, former Michigan starter Davis Warren is lined up to start and he hasn’t played since suffering a season-ending injury in 2024. Can he lead Stanford’s offense?

Prediction: Hawaii 24, Stanford 20

New Mexico State vs. Florida State

Mike Norvell is one the hottest of hot seats entering the new season, but Florida State has a walk in the park in Week 0. The Seminoles will have a chance to break in new starting quarterback Ashton Daniels.

This is a make-or-break year for Norvell, but getting a big win to start the year could carry some momentum.

Prediction: Florida State 48, New Mexico State 7
